Peppol e-invoicing allows you to send invoices directly into your clients’ accounting systems through a secure, standardised network. Timesheet Portal supports this process, but a few setup steps are required before you can begin.
What You Need Before Sending Your First Peppol Invoice
Make sure the following items are completed:
-
You’ve registered for Peppol through Timesheet Portal and your compliance documents have been validated.
-
Your e-invoicing tax codes are set up.
-
Your invoice templates include an IBAN bank account number.
Once these steps are done, you’re ready to start sending e-invoices.
Understanding Peppol IDs and Endpoint IDs
To send an invoice through the Peppol network, each client needs two identifiers:
For most businesses, these two values are the same. In larger groups or holding companies, one endpoint may serve multiple entities, each with its own Peppol ID.
These identifiers ensure your invoice is routed correctly.
Step 1: Enable Peppol E-Invoicing in Your System
First, enable Peppol for your account:
- Go to System → Client Invoicing → General
- Scroll down to Peppol E-Invoicing
- Select Enable
- Enter your Peppol Endpoint Identifier and Peppol Identifier
Step 2: Adding Peppol Details to Your Clients
To enter these details:
-
Go to System > Clients.
-
Select the client and click Edit.
-
Open the Invoicing Options tab.
-
Scroll to the Peppol E-Invoicing section and enter the required IDs.
Save the changes, and the client is ready for e-invoicing.
Step 3: Sending an Invoice Through Peppol
Once your clients are set up:
-
Go to Client Invoicing or Self Billing.
-
Select the invoices you want to send.
-
Click Send Invoices.
-
Choose Peppol (E-Invoicing).
Timesheet Portal will send the e-invoice through the Peppol network, including the PDF version of the invoice and any attachments you choose to include. You’ll receive a confirmation message indicating whether the transmission was successful.
