We have tinkered with our system to become even more accommodating to users across the globe. Since some countries use the military time system and others stick to the AM/PM system, we now made both available on Timesheet Portal. Previously, it was only possible to record time using a 24-hour clock.
While neither of the time recording systems is better or worse than the other, we understand it can cause confusion when you’re not used to reading time in a specific way. Instead of enforcing the European way, we now give our customers, both local and international, to choose the option that works best for them. We believe this will be a welcomed change by companies with employees across the globe.
Whether it’s a personal preference or you noticed your employees making errors due to a different time recording format, you no longer have to worry about adjusting to it. Instead, let Timesheet Portal adjust to your needs. Starting now, you can select whether you prefer tracking time using the military time system or as 12-hour cycles. All it takes is a couple of clicks.
To instigate the change, follow this path: Settings > Timesheets > Submission tab. Scroll down and under 'Format of time entered for hourly rates’ select 12 hour (use AM/PM). At the moment, this will affect all the timesheets in the system. Moving forward, however, we will try and make it account-specific to give you more customisation freedom.
At Timesheet Portal, we are always looking for ways to give our clients as much value as we can. All of our updates and changes begin with you. Therefore, if you have any complaints, suggestions or would just like to provide feedback - we are waiting to hear from you.
